READY TO RIDE
CHAPTER SIXTY
Welcome to chapter sixty of our ‘Ready To Ride’ short stories series.
These are five quick snapshots of what we do, where we ride, the laughs had, and the general shenanigans and goings-on, while riding together over the Himalayas & through South India.
I’m posting these every Friday, and they’re an easy read; a few minutes are all you need.
Enjoy!
Alex Pirie
Founder & Lead Rider

I was out test riding this today as I’ve just fitted new touring seats to them all.
It’s transformed it, what a difference it’s made.
Out of all our Royal Enfields, this is by far the most comfortable seat.
I’ve already got one fitted on a 350, and I can easily ride 500kms in a day, in comfort.
That’s good for South India.

Bottoms up – not literally…
Yes, the riding and terrain are fantastic, but this is easily one of the best moments of them all.
Believe it or not, it’s got nothing to do with the beer.
It’s when everyone comes together and talks about the ride, shares stories about things someone might’ve missed, and usually when the tall tales start…
We’ve definitely heard a few over the years, and they’re brilliant.

Another fantastic ride out today in Goa.
I thought I would spend at least a few weeks not riding, but I can’t help it.
I love it.
A mix again today of chai stops, forest trails, wildlife reserves, beaches and the Arabian Sea.
Raju & Tejan left early to head back home, Atul and myself rode on.
I can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday.

“The Rode To Everest ride was an absolute blast.
Conquering challenging terrains, riding alongside great people, and taking in the utterly breathtaking views made it an unforgettable motorcycle adventure.
The experience of bedding down for the night at Base Camp with Everest in full view will stay with me forever.
Whatever it takes to do this ride, ‘Just Do It’ as they say.
You won’t regret it.” – Adam.
Life is for living, are you ready to live it?
Be more Adam and say yes!

Put the screen down…
In a world ruled by screens, seeing the world with our own eyes has become a rarity. Many experience life second-hand, watching others rather than living it themselves.
And when they do visit somewhere worth being, they spend their time taking selfies. Yes, capturing moments and memories is part of it, but it’s more about being truly present.
Taking the moment to look up from our screens to remind ourselves that there’s a whole world out there, ready for us to experience and enjoy.
Time is short, after all.
Instead of living it through a screen, live it for real.
If you’re feeling digitally drained, start your year with us in the stunning South of India.
Enjoy the ride.
I’ll see you on the next one.
JOIN THE
KNIGHT CLUB
So you’re considering taking on a real adventure? I remember the feeling. In 2006, I was sat right where you are now… wondering if it was for me.
Join our mailing list – The Knight Club – and I’ll send my no-BS thoughts on why you should (or shouldn’t) take it on. No sales. No special offers. These rides aren’t for everyone, but if you’re the right kind of person, it can remind you what it means to be alive.
All the best, Alex.
