READY TO RIDE
CHAPTER SEVENTY-TWO
Welcome to chapter seventy-two of our ‘Ready To Ride’ short stories series.
These are five quick snapshots of what we do, where we ride, the laughs had, and the general shenanigans and goings-on while riding together over the Himalayas & through South India.
I’m posting these every Friday, and they’re an easy read; a few minutes are all you need.
Enjoy!

“What a ride!
If you like real motorcycle adventure, long adrenaline-driven days, beautiful scenery and fantastic, challenging roads, just do it and book this ride.
It’s truly epic.
A huge thanks to Alex and his team.
It could not have been any better” – Bill, June ’25.

It’s time to escape the ordinary… already!
It’s that time of year again.
Routines are creeping back in.
Diaries are filling up.
You’ve probably been asked about 143 times whether you had a good Christmas and New Year, and the thought of slipping back into the same day-to-day grind is already starting to grate.
We get it.
We’re not fans of the ordinary.
We love the extraordinary.
The exhilarating experiences that pull us out of autopilot and into the moment. Journeys that challenge us, free us, and push us beyond limits we didn’t even know we had. The kind of moments that become stories most people only ever hear about.
Choosing not to conform, not to settle, and not to live life on repeat.
If this sounds familiar, chances are you’re one of us…

Good morning from Palolem Beach, Goa.

The adventure continues, even when we’re not on the motorcycles…
Whilst we wouldn’t dream of putting these adventures in the same category as a sightseeing ride, there’s always plenty of time to see the sights, explore the places where we’re staying, and embrace local life whilst we’re there.
The pilgrim town of Murdeshwar is particularly spectacular.
We stay right next to the sea, beside the world’s second-largest statue of Shiva, standing at 123 feet high, and the adjoining Shiva Temple, which rises to 237 feet.
It’s an incredible experience, and this is only one out of fourteen days – there’s plenty more to explore as we make our journey across South India.

If you’re already feeling that itch… maybe it’s time to scratch it.
Not that one, the other one!
Once we’ve been bitten by the adventure bug, it’s hard to shake it off.
No matter how hard we try to throw ourselves back into routine, we’re still tormented by memories of freedom, exploration, and laughter.
Even looking back at photos or videos doesn’t come close to actually being there and living it.
But there is a cure.
You guessed it – more exploration.
Enjoy the ride.
I’ll see you on the next one.

KNIGHT CLUB
So you’re considering taking on a real adventure? I remember the feeling. In 2006, I was sat right where you are now… wondering if it was for me.
Join our mailing list – The Knight Club – and I’ll send my no-BS thoughts on why you should (or shouldn’t) take it on. No sales. No special offers. These rides aren’t for everyone, but if you’re the right kind of person, it can remind you what it means to be alive.
All the best, Alex.
