READY TO RIDE
CHAPTER FORTY-ONE
Welcome to chapter forty-one of our ‘Ready To Ride’ short stories series.
These are five quick snapshots of what we do, where we ride, the laughs had, and the general shenanigans and goings-on, while riding together over the Himalayas & through South India.
I’m posting these every Friday, and they’re an easy read; a few minutes are all you need.
Enjoy!

The calm before the storm…
There’s nothing quite like that feeling before a great adventure.
Nerves, excitement, adrenaline, and anticipation pulse through us – it’s almost like being a child again on Christmas Eve.
Tomorrow, our riders arrive for the final Roof Of India ride of the year – the motorcycles are ready, the team is ready – are our riders ready?
We hope so.

He’s been standing here for weeks. We told you paperwork can take time!
Good job, he’s only made of fibreglass (the one on the left that is!).
Keep your eyes peeled for the fibreglass policeman at the side of the road during our ride to Everest Base Camp.

“A true biker’s adventure that should be undertaken by any motorcyclist with a taste for the unexpected and the awesome power of Mother Nature.
A fantastic adventure with a very organised Team – well done guys and thanks for one of my best rides ever.” – Chris.
You’re welcome, Chris.
This is what we do.
We create rides that create memories that last a lifetime and ones that become riders’ best trips ever.

Out of this world scenery…
Where we stay, where we ride and what we see along the way on our Roof Of India ride is utterly breathtaking.
We explore high altitude desert, forested trails, glacier gouged gorges, lunar-like valleys and ascend mountain peaks and passes at over 5kms high.
It’s different from anything else out there and shows you a world you never knew existed.

It’s a long road, but it’s worth it…
There are many times in life when the road ahead can feel long and never-ending.
We start to contemplate:
What are we doing?
Are we going to get where we want to be?
Will it all work out?
But with every kilometre that passes, we become closer to our goal.
Sometimes we just need to dig deep and keep pushing on.
It’s usually in these moments that we learn something about ourselves – our true strength, grit, determination and more.
So don’t lose sight of what’s at the end of the road, and don’t forget to enjoy the journey.
Enjoy the ride.
I’ll see you on the next one.

KNIGHT CLUB
So you’re considering taking on a real adventure? I remember the feeling. In 2006, I was sat right where you are now… wondering if it was for me.
Join our mailing list – The Knight Club – and I’ll send my no-BS thoughts on why you should (or shouldn’t) take it on. No sales. No special offers. These rides aren’t for everyone, but if you’re the right kind of person, it can remind you what it means to be alive.
All the best, Alex.
