READY TO RIDE
CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR
Welcome to chapter forty-four of our ‘Ready To Ride’ short stories series.
These are five quick snapshots of what we do, where we ride, the laughs had, and the general shenanigans and goings-on, while riding together over the Himalayas & through South India.
I’m posting these every Friday, and they’re an easy read; a few minutes are all you need.
Enjoy!

“I hope it will be many years before I have to hang up my rider gear, and I plan to do a lot more motorcycling trips before then.
The very real problem is what to do next, because I’ve just done the Rode To Everest trip with Nomadic Knights and I genuinely do not believe that there is any two-week motorcycle adventure trip available anywhere on this planet which could possibly compare with, never mind top, the experience I had on this ride.
The team spirit, stunning scenery, culture overload, sense of privilege, and expert leadership on this motorcycle adventure was truly unbeatable and has left me with the most amazing memories, stories, and friends for life.” – David.
We’ve definitely been there, David.
Those post-adventure blues hit hard. It’s hard knowing what to do next – if it’s any help, we would always suggest another adventure.
Be more David and challenge yourself on an adventure of a lifetime – the Rode To Everest.

Life’s a beach…
At the end of Day 3 of the Grand Canyon India ride, we arrive at our stop for the night – the legendary Palolem Beach.
We weren’t exaggerating when we said we’d be staying right on the sand.
Once we’ve changed out of our motorcycle gear, we soak up the incredible view.
A cold beer is cracked open, the day’s events are relived in conversation, and some might even take a dip in the Arabian Sea as the sun sets before us.
Not a bad way to start the year right?

And that’s a wrap!
On Saturday, we finished our final Roof Of India ride of the year.
And what a ride it was!
A massive thanks to our gnarly riders for joining us in August – and throughout the year.
Against all odds (quite literally!), we made it happen.
We’ll be doing it all over again in June, July, & August 2026.
I can’t wait!

Once considered impossible…
Now it’s another story of grit, camaraderie, and the open road.
That’s the very heart of adventure motorcycling – setting out on journeys that seem too far away, too risky, or too wild, and proving to yourself that they’re not.
Riding through unpredictable roads, shifting weather, and endless miles.
It isn’t for the faint-hearted; it’s for those bold enough to chase freedom on two wheels and those ready to challenge themselves to the max.
Make it your story and join us.

Pay attention to what you feed your mind…
Yes, we should be mindful of what we eat, but it’s not just our stomach that matters.
You become what you feed your mind – what you read, what you listen to, and the people you spend time with. Slowly but surely, the things our mind consumes shape the decisions we make.
We might limit ourselves or lose sight of the dreams we’ve always carried. Don’t lose sight of what truly matters.
Turn down the noise and tune in to what will help you achieve what you’ve always wanted – especially if that’s a motorcycle adventure!
Cut out the noise and start your year in stunning South India.
Enjoy the ride.
I’ll see you on the next one.
JOIN THE
KNIGHT CLUB
So you’re considering taking on a real adventure? I remember the feeling. In 2006, I was sat right where you are now… wondering if it was for me.
Join our mailing list – The Knight Club – and I’ll send my no-BS thoughts on why you should (or shouldn’t) take it on. No sales. No special offers. These rides aren’t for everyone, but if you’re the right kind of person, it can remind you what it means to be alive.
All the best, Alex.
