READY TO RIDE
CHAPTER EIGHT
Welcome to chapter eight of our ‘Ready To Ride’ short stories series.
These are five quick snapshots of what we do, where we ride, the laughs had, and the general shenanigans and goings on, while riding together over the Himalayas & through South India.
I’m posting these every Friday and they’re an easy read, a few minutes are all you need.
Enjoy!

A few incredible shots from our riders…
Yesterday, we arrived in the pilgrim town of Murdeshwar.
It’s a spectacular destination brimming with divinity and home to the world’s second largest statue of Shiva at 123 feet high which overlooks the Arabian Sea, and adjoining Shiva Temple at 237 feet high.
We’re lucky enough to stay right next to both and our riders have well and truly made the most of the occasion and shared some incredible shots.

“This is the moment that all the planning, preparation, and hard work was for!
How many people can say they’ve spent the night at the North Face of Mount Everest Base Camp?
A truly unforgettable adventure!” – Bradley
Bradley gets it.
We get it.
We know how long people have waited to get to this point. The time. The effort. But it’s 100% worth the hard work. They say you get out what you put in, and adventures like this are testament to that.
Our riders will agree. Of course it will challenge you but from the moment we catch a glimpse of Everest in the distance to reaching base camp, the buzz of excitement takes over.
The sense of achievement is unimaginable and it’s a moment that stays with you for a very, very long time.

Should I stay or should I go?
And just like that another Grand Canyon India ride has been completed.
But it’s not over yet for some. Some riders have stayed a few extra days in India and some have joined us at the secluded beach.
We used to call it the secret beach but it’s not so much of a secret anymore.
Despite more people knowing about it, it still remains a tranquil haven with golden beaches, freshwater lagoons, coconut groves and the warm Arabian Sea.
So far, 7am swim club has been back in session, including long strolls along the beach watching the sunset, canoeing in the lagoon, plenty of freshly caught seafood has been enjoyed and maybe a pina colada or two.
The perfect place to rest up after a motorcycle adventure.
Pure bliss.

We call it an extreme adventure…
Some of our riders call it;
Unbeatable.
Immense.
Inspirational.
Interesting.
Hilarious x2.
Proper Bo I tell thee.
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Purededbriwyint.
Indoctrinating.
Brilliant.
Epic.
Immersive.
ACE.
There’s plenty more words we could add about motorcycle adventures in the Himalayas, but we’ll let the journey do the talking.
Find your own words to describe an adventure like this.

Now that was something special…
In case you hadn’t already heard, we’ve just completed our Grand Canyon India ride – and what a ride it was!
As you can imagine, there’s many aspects to adventures that make them so special.
Of course riding motorcycles across South India is the obvious pinnacle of excitement, with so many factors that add to the buzz of adventure; experiencing the culture, going off the beaten track, the people of India & much more.
But all of those are reinforced when a great group of like-minded riders come together.
Friendships form.
Plenty of laughs are had.
Songs are sung.
Memories made.
By the end of the trip riders are congratulating one another, embracing, taking selfies, exchanging details & sharing stories of what we’ve accomplished together.
It might only be 2 weeks but the memories shared together will last a life time.
Here’s to the memories – and the ones we’re yet to make!
PS. oh na na na na na vista.
Enjoy the ride.
I’ll see you on the next one.

So you’re considering taking on a real adventure? I remember the feeling. In 2006, I was sat right where you are now… wondering if it was for me.
Join our mailing list – The Knight Club – and I’ll send my no-BS thoughts on why you should (or shouldn’t) take it on. No sales. No special offers. These rides aren’t for everyone, but if you’re the right kind of person, it can remind you what it means to be alive.
All the best, Alex.
