OUR HIMALAYAN MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURES
Himalayas Roof of India
The motorcycle adventure in the Himalayas starts and ends in Narkanda, a beautiful mountainous town which is a skiing resort in the winter. Some places along the way include: Manali, Keylong and Srinagar. You will also spend a rest day in Leh, an ancient city which was originally a stop for trading caravans but now has everything you need: massage parlours, cafes, barber shops, Buddhist sites, internet cafes, ATMs and market areas.
Along the way we explore high altitude desert, forested trails, glacier gouged gorges, lunar like valleys and ascend mountain peaks and passes at over 5kms high. Deep into the Kashmir Valley, you tackle the ominous ‘Cliffhanger’. These are rough mountain tracks hewn into the side of vertical cliffs. Where you stay, where you ride and what you see on this motorcycle adventure in the Himalayas a is utterly breathtaking.
Create a custom trip
You may have a special event coming up, like a birthday or anniversary, that you want to celebarate. Why not create a custom trip?
Do something different and go on a motorcycle tour with a group of friends or family, organised by Nomadic Knights.
It could be a motorcycle adventure to the Himalayas, a trip to sub-tropical South India, a ride in Rajasthan, or maybe even Mount Everest. As long as it’s on two wheels or four and within India, Nepal or Tibet, we will be able to organise something for you.
Royal Enfield Bullet Trials Works Replica 500
This motorcycle is the perfect solution for the people who want to ride the legendary original Royal Enfield Bullet without the unreliability. It’s got plenty of power and stops without any drama, so it’s ideal for a motorcycle adventure to the Himalayas.
We have bought a new fleet of them which you can ride from 2020 onwards. You can swap over with someone else in the group and ride the Himalayan if you want to try both.
Royal Enfield Himalayan
The Himalayan is an ‘all-rounder’ built on an entirely new platform, sharing no parts with any previous Royal Enfield models. It’s ultra-reliable and great fun to ride. We’ve had no breakdowns since we started using them in 2016 for our motorcycle tours and we have almost 50 in our fleet.
It really is the perfect vehicle for our motorcycle adventures to the Himalayas. The rider feedback had been excellent and everybody that has ridden one has thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
WHERE WE TRAVEL
ON OUR TOURS
“the landscape of the Himalayas holds you, mesmerises you, and terrifies you”
“Who would have possibly thought it, the humble Enfield flying amongst the clouds, diving into rivers and crashing over and through the rock strewn terrain and not only surviving but thriving. […] The almost barren, unforgiving landscape of the Himalayas holds you, mesmerises you, and terrifies you only to lead you around the corner and take your breath away. So long live the Enfield, humble, defiant King of the road.”
“life didn’t get any better than this”
I’ve been at the birth of my children, swam with a pod of wild dolphins in the Atlantic, and skied on days God would have made for himself to enjoy; but along with those best days of my life, now belong those spent traversing the Himalayas. We were blessed with a group of people that after 2 weeks felt more like family than friends, good weather that allowed us to enjoy the journey and the landscape, and the certain knowledge that life didn’t get any better than this.
“its overwhelming, it’s life changing and it’s absolutely fantastic”
You meet new people, see how they work and live and make lots of new best friends. You ride roads, go places, do things and see sights that others only dream of. You start an adventure and end up completely changing your life. Riding in the Himalayas once is just not enough, your brain just cannot absorb everything you do, see and experience on just one trip, it’s overwhelming, its life changing, and it’s absolutely fantastic – do it – now!
