About
Grand Canyon India
India is often described as a sensory overload.
It’s filled with abundant colour, ancient culture and grand sights. It has reverberating sounds, spectacular tastes and a diverse population.
There’s no denying it. It’s all true. This is a remarkable and unique country.
Grand Canyon India is a stunning journey through South India. We ride rural roads and stay in places that most travellers never see, or even know about.
We’re starting in the erstwhile Portuguese colony of Goa and ride along the Arabian Sea coastline and deep into the teak forests and Tiger reserves of Karnataka.
This is the true heartland of South India.
We’ll cross narrow hanging bridges, ride alongside vast rivers, through stunning national parks and traverse the Western Ghats mountain range.
We head high up into the desolate and lonely landscapes of the Deccan Plateau and onwards into the state of Andhra Pradesh. And to crown it all, a sunrise visit to the truly spectacular Grand Canyon of India.
All this and more whilst riding the Iconic 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet. A single cylinder 4 stroke thumper that’s being ridden where it belongs.
This is the stuff of legend.
These motorcycles are no longer manufactured. We bought the very last Limited Edition models just for these rides.
January is by far the best time to ride here. Bright, warm, sunny days and cool evenings. These are perfect riding conditions.
Just the tonic you need to blow away those winter blues.
If you’ve ridden South India before, then you’ll know how special it is. If you haven’t, and love adventure motorcycling, then do yourself a favour and book your place on this ride.
You won’t regret it.
I look forward to riding with you.
Alex Pirie
Founder and Lead Rider.

THE BANTER (SCMC)
The North East of India is one of the least explored places left on the planet. Mac Macdonald and his friends rode India’s Lost World with Nomadic Knights in 2018 and had one of the best experiences of their lives. It was so good, they wrote about it.
