About
Grand Canyon India
Each January and February, we take a very special South India ride.
Starting in the former Portuguese colony of Goa, we ride south along the coast of the Arabian Sea, head into the teak forests and Tiger reserves of Karnataka, then traverse the Western Ghats mountain range.
In a life that’s filled with adventure, this is how we choose to begin each year. It’s a deeply personal journey that reminds us of why we do what we do.
We stay in Jungle Lodges, Beach Resorts, and Coastal Towns.
This is not a trip for tourists looking to check off the sites and take a selfie; it’s an experience that reconnects us to nature (and ourselves). We ride rural roads and stay in places that most motorcyclists will never know about, let alone see. We’ll cross narrow hanging bridges, follow vast rivers, and gaze at the stars above exotic national parks.
Imagine riding through the desolate and lonely landscapes of the Deccan Plateau and onwards into the eastern state of Andhra Pradesh. And to crown it all, sunrise over the spectacular Grand Canyon of India. This is living.
Over 14 nights and 2,700kms, we choose to leave the phone-obsessed Western world behind. We laugh with the locals and each other. The roads are tarmac, and the weather is glorious. Warm sunny days, blue skies, and cool evenings. It’s the perfect way to start the year or blow away the winter blues.
Just us, the adventure, and the motorcycle.
And what iconic machines these are — the legendary 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet. A single-cylinder 4-stroke thumper that’s right where it belongs. (We bought the very last Limited Edition models exclusively for these rides.)
If you’ve ridden South India before, you’ll know how special it is. If not, this is the perfect way to explore this ancient landscape. If you love adventure motorcycling, do yourself a favour and book your place on this ride.
I look forward to riding with you.
This tour is unique to Nomadic Knights. Join us for 14 days of sunshine, adventure, and laughter — and start 2024 or 2025 focused on what matters.

THE BANTER (SCMC)
The North East of India is one of the least explored places left on the planet. Mac Macdonald and his friends rode India’s Lost World with Nomadic Knights in 2018 and had one of the best experiences of their lives. It was so good, they wrote about it.
